The design team drew inspiration from 1990s German design, which was their biggest influence in real time. The teardrop-shaped square frame, which follows the German design trend from the 1970s, also recreates the slightly narrower lens shape of the 1990s. The overall design is very minimalist, but variations in shape are incorporated in different parts, such as the rounded inner surface of the temples, the dots on the tip, the bridge, and the endpieces. The color scheme, including two-tone plating with paint only on the upper part of the rim like a browline, also reflects the zeitgeist of that era.
