5 Days of Shirt Styles

I'm having a great time meeting many people during Golden Week. Are you all enjoying yourselves?

 

Today, I was planning to introduce the third installment of our Golden Week special, but since I received requests at the store for more style blogs, I'm presenting a special feature on "shirt" styles, which are currently the most popular items at the store.

 

Since Golden Week is already in its final stages, I wasn't able to introduce the third installment... I simply didn't have the time to write... so I introduced the items on Instagram first. Please check them out here. I bought them myself and have been wearing them for over a month now. I wanted to fully experience their quality before introducing them, so I decided to release them at the same time as the extreme and polo shirts. If you're interested, please come to the store and let's talk. I plan to write a detailed blog post about the items when the time is right.

 

 

Now, for shirt styles, I've put together "my preferred 5-day styles" for the current May season.

 

 

 

 

 

HIKING PATROL "ALIGN BUTTON UP SHIRT(OFF WHITE)"

It may seem ordinary at first glance and often overlooked, but the Hiking Patrol shirt has a surprisingly high approval rating at the store right now.

It uses a semi-stretch ripstop fabric with both water repellency and breathability, features ventilation on the back, and a hidden zip pocket on the left chest pocket. However, its distinctive feature is the clean finish of the placket.

While incorporating many brand-like outdoor elements, this new shirt is designed with high fashionability, making it a key focus for us this season. The ecru-like color, not pure white, also has a sophisticated international feel that I really like.

 

It dries quickly after washing and is resistant to wrinkles. The highly stretchy nylon-poly fabric is incredibly easy to move in and lightweight, making it perfect for everything from city wear to playing at the park with children.

 

I chose this shirt specifically to pair with our classic Welcome Rain denim. I believe that its distinctive yet simple nature makes it best suited for a standard pairing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

One recommended way to wear the hiking shirt is draped over the shoulder.

In May, the temperature difference between morning/evening and daytime continues to be a challenge, so I think this way of wearing the shirt, utilizing its material and functional features, is very convenient. I especially like it because it adds an accent to my simple styling.

ANOTHER ASPECT "SHIRT 5.0(BROWN)"

Next up is Another Aspect.

Following the previous item, I chose this shirt to pair with the Welcome Rain denim. While this one is ecru, there are various reasons why ecru was chosen in the first place, but the initial motivation was to enjoy brown clothing.

 

This shirt, released this season, is model 5.0, a "Western shirt" made by Another Aspect. The beauty of subtraction, where it doesn't immediately look like a Western shirt, is typical of their approach.

 

It really resonated with me.

 

The soft texture of the deadstock Italian linen fabric further enhances the quality of the shirt. For those who prefer long sleeves even in summer, I highly recommend this shirt for its slightly unique design.

Thanks to the event we held in March, more and more people now associate Another Aspect with shirts!

SUNFLOWER "NEW BASE SHIRT(DARK BLUE)"

This style is recommended for days when you just want to relax.

 

The Sunflower shirt, which I introduced in this blog post previously.

A basic 100% cotton shirt is always convenient to have because you can wear it without overthinking it, in a good way.

However, for those who don't want to be too predictable, we've prepared a new color. I'm really fond of this refreshing and cool dark blue stripe, which feels somewhat new to me as I don't own anything similar.

 

As expected, navy slacks pair best with a blue-based shirt. This combination has long been my go-to style.

The slacks I'm wearing are from this season's Refomed collection; they offer a refined look yet can also be worn with a loose feel, so I highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys shirt styles.

What I want to do on a warm day in May is to combine shorts with a shirt.

 

While I usually stick to regular collar shirts, the YOKE skipper shirt was something I absolutely wanted to try. It has the best silk linen feel, but it's the sophisticated ease of wearing that comes with a skipper shirt that represents the style I want to pursue from now on.

Finally, I'm introducing the wool check shirt jacket from Ernie Palo, a new brand we started carrying this season, which is currently my most worn item.

As those who visit the store know, this entire style is my personal collection. I think there's a high probability that I'm wearing this style when I meet people at the store recently, lol. I've finally been able to put together and wear the items I've been introducing since January of this year.

 

This shirt jacket, made in Japan from a luxurious summer wool, silk, and cashmere blend, is incredibly light and useful for layering even in summer. Above all, I absolutely love the check pattern. Recently, I've discovered various ways to enjoy bright colored pants, so I feel like I'm buying more clothes to match them.

 

 

Today, I introduced five shirts for five days of shirt styles.

Again, there are so many fun styling options available precisely because it's the season between spring and summer.
