Premium cotton T-shirt
Hello. This is Miura from THIRD PLACE.
As I mentioned in my previous blog post, the 26AW season has already kicked off with extreme cashmere, and as of yesterday, we are officially ready to present this year's autumn/winter styles to everyone.
Many of our visitors have already enjoyed the autumn atmosphere in the store, and some have even quickly taken home cashmere knits and wool pants. We are truly feeling the start of the new season.
No matter how many years I've been in this business, this transition period between seasons always excites me.
I've already bought a few new items myself and am looking forward to the day I can wear them outside.
However, Nagoya is still experiencing consecutive days of scorching heat.
My mind is already in autumn/winter mode, but I still have to rely on summer clothes. While my desire for a wardrobe change grows, I find myself reaching for T-shirts and shorts every day.
We are unveiling AW items in the store as they become ready, but we still have plenty of options to help you get through the long summer.
From extreme cashmere, we've added classic T-shirts from the cotton-cashmere series at this time (NAVY for james is a new color), and in parallel, we also have cotton T-shirts from "JERZEES".

THIRD PLACE × JERZEES
PACK T-SHIRT
COL: WHITE / NAVY
SIZE: M / L
¥7,000+TAX
These two items are summer essentials and like a uniform for us.
Nishiwaki briefly introduced them before, but since it's now the season where they are frequently worn in August and September, I decided to write this blog post to talk about them again from my perspective.

This is a special, original item developed by THIRD PLACE from scratch, and it's only available here.
When the store opened last year, we created an ideal T-shirt for ourselves to wear daily, and it unexpectedly resonated with and was loved by many people. Now, it has become an indispensable item for our store.
I believe everyone has various preferences when choosing a T-shirt, but for this T-shirt, we particularly focused on the balance between quality and price.
It's 100% cotton and costs ¥7,700 (tax included).
Instead of the single 20-count yarn commonly used for T-shirts, we use a plied yarn made by twisting two thicker threads together. This provides a dry, sturdy texture and high durability that resists losing its shape even after repeated washing.
Furthermore, it is knitted with a higher density than the original JERZEES, resulting in a clean texture with even surface loops, while also maintaining appropriate softness.

Recently, various brands have released many new T-shirts using various innovative ideas, but what we sought for this T-shirt was "a moderately good appearance and absolute toughness."
For example, materials like wool, silk, and cashmere, which offer high quality and comfort, have been a trend in recent years. The extreme cashmere T-shirt we always recommend falls into this category, and we propose them as a step-up in cut and sewn items. However, we also had a desire to create something that would appeal to a broader audience.
Clothes specialized for everyday wear that anyone can easily incorporate.
Nishiwaki and I have always loved such "thoughtful" everyday wear.

For example, in the summer, I often go to rivers and mountains to cool off, so when I prioritize activity, I always bring a JERZEES T-shirt.
The thick, tough fabric and loose silhouette enhance ease of movement, making it highly recommended for outdoor activities.
What's important in such situations is whether you can say, "It's okay if it gets dirty."
Of course, I want to wear it for a long time, but more than that, this T-shirt is strongly imbued with the desire for everyone to wear it frequently and without hesitation, so even if it's a white T-shirt, I hope you'll wear it for outdoor activities without worry.

Of course, it's washable at home, so it's okay if it gets dirty.
And I just toss it into the washing machine. (Though washing in a net is recommended.)
Its greatest selling point is its toughness, so its strength lies in not having to worry about losing shape, stretching around the neck, etc.
Also, since it can be washed in the washing machine and then put directly into the dryer, maintenance is even easier. That's one of the reasons I value this T-shirt so much.
I sweat a lot, so in the summer, I often change clothes multiple times a day, which naturally increases the amount of laundry. And since my family mainly line-dries indoors, a dryer is essential.
These days, many delicate clothes are often dryer-forbidden, so durable clothes like this are always a lifesaver.
One caveat: shrinkage.
As I mentioned before, this T-shirt is intentionally made in its "pre-shrunk" state, so a change in sizing after washing and drying is to be expected.
It shrunk about 3cm with water washing and about 5cm with my home electric dryer.
It's made quite oversized to begin with, so it won't become too small. You can rest assured about caring for it, but please choose between size M or L based on your height.
For example, our male staff members, who are 167cm and 168cm tall, wear size M.
If you are 170cm or taller, I think size L would be a good choice.

By the way, regarding the change in size of this T-shirt, Nishiwaki explained it in a previous blog post, but after one wash, there is no significant shrinkage, and it settles into its current size.
It doesn't keep shrinking, so feel free to care for it as usual.

HIKING PATROL "ORBIT LT TECHNICAL SHORTS(CHARCOAL BLACK)"
The silhouette is also our original design, and we focused on creating a voluminous look that stands on its own. Recently, I've been wearing it often when going out in shorts.
While I also like compact styles like extreme cashmere's tina, depending on the bottoms I want to wear, I enjoy creating contrasting outfits using big T-shirts like this.

For autumn, I plan to pair it with wide slacks or denim.
If this year is like previous years, hot days will likely continue until around October, so I plan to slowly await winter by utilizing the clothes I own and newly purchased items.

The restocked items are available in the same two colors as last year: WHITE and NAVY.
They come in two sizes: M and L.
For women, size M should generally be fine.
In fact, it's made quite oversized, so if you like a big silhouette, definitely give it a try! (If you're unsure about the size, please try it on at the store or feel free to ask our staff for advice.)
Since this is the first restock in a year, we recommend purchasing now if you couldn't get it last year or were interested.
Similar to WELCOME-RAIN denim, there are no plans for further additions for a while, so this is your last chance for now.
If you're just learning about this item today, please read our previous blog post where we discuss the background of its creation and design features in detail.

I hope I've conveyed our passion for this carefully crafted cotton T-shirt today.
The quality for ¥7,700 is also a compelling point, and it's why we have so many repeat customers. (We recommend buying both colors.)
For us, both cashmere and cotton T-shirts have completely different charms and play different roles in our daily lives. So, I hope you can find an item that suits your needs here at THIRD PLACE.
This week marks the start of the Obon holiday period.
If you haven't completed your summer wardrobe, or if you've realized you're missing something, there's still time, so please come visit the store.
Today I focused on T-shirts, but we still have plenty of shirts and shorts available as well.
I'm also feeling a bit of summer fatigue, but let's overcome the heat this summer by leveraging the power of clothes.
