SUNFLOWER yak knit.

It's suddenly gotten cold this week, and our first winter at THIRD PLACE has arrived.
Today I'd like to introduce you to an item that I've been wanting to suggest once the weather really gets cold.
Every year I want to buy some new knitwear, and this is the one I wanted to choose this year.
This is a knit from the Copenhagen brand SUNFLOER.
The main feature of this knit is that although it looks neat and clean at first glance, when you actually wear it you can sense a roughness and unsophistication in a good way. If you take a look at the brand's Instagram , you'll see that it has an impressive wild and cool vibe, which I think conveys that they value "coolness."
However, when I actually looked at the items, I didn't get the impression that they were simply trying to be hard, but rather that they were mild with simple shapes and basic colors, so the balance of adding spice to the ordinary was very refreshing to me.
In particular, in a time when many Japanese brands today are moving towards more sophisticated designs, I was attracted to the "ordinary" nature of their designs, which are created without being "too perfect" and while still valuing individuality.
One of the charms of Sunflower is its focus on the materials it uses.
For example, this knitwear is made from yak wool, which has excellent heat retention, a soft touch, and durability. Yak is a high-quality material that is said to be comparable to cashmere, and the beautiful coloring of this knitwear was created by selecting a material that brings out the natural color of the yak while also considering the quality of the clothes that can be worn for a long time.
As the years go by, I tend to choose more subdued colors that emphasize appearance, but I wanted to try this sunflower knit, including some colorful ones.

We tried wearing each piece to create the atmosphere we wanted to convey.
All three of us, 167cm, 168cm and 155cm tall, are wearing size M. The width is just right and the length is a little neat, so even though it's an imported item, we're happy that the sizing is easy to wear for us Japanese builds.
The styling itself is so simple you might wonder what brand it is, but the key is to add a new element without going overboard, with a "actually" feel. It's an element I haven't incorporated before, so I'm going to start by having fun with small updates. For women, I think that by deliberately incorporating a masculine coolness, it will create a contrast that will look cute.
THIRD PLACE carries many international brands, each with a different kind of "ordinary" feel than what you'd find in Japan. In that sense, we think this Sunflower knitwear will help you get a feel for the atmosphere we want to convey.
Sunflowers have become a hot topic in the industry, but they are still not available in most stores in Japan, so I think they are a fresh addition.
